Clarence Burton Day (1889-1987) was a Presbyterian missionary teacher in China (1915-1943) and India (1947-1951).

Dr. Day was a Presbyterian missionary teacher in China and India. He was born in American Fork, Utah, and spent his childhood in San Anselmo, California. He was educated at Hamilton College, New York, and San Francisco Theological Seminary. In 1915 he went to China, first to the Nanking Language School, then to Ningpo for evangelistic work, and then as a teacher at Hangchow College. Except for furloughs, he remand with Hangchow College to 1943. He spent seven months in a concentration camp, and returned on the Gripsholm. He taught at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and Centre College, Danville, Kentucky. In 1947 he went to Lahore, India (now Pakistan) to teach at Forman Christian College, and a year later returned to Hangchow College, later University, serving to 1951. He then returned to America.
