Flagg, George, 1741-1824.
Charleston, South Carolina painter and glazier and South Carolina state representative. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Flagg was in Charleston by the mid-1760s. He owned property in Charleston and in St. James Goose Creek Parish and served as a city official in Charleston in many capacities including firemaster (1784, 1788). Flagg married Mary Magdelene Henderson (d. 1775) in 1770, and their children included Mary Magdelene Flagg, who married Ray Greene.
