Bolling family.
The collection primarily concerns Robert Bolling (1759-1839) of "Centre Hill," Petersburg, Va., who donated land to the city of Petersburg for government buildings and services; and his son Robert Buckner Bolling (1805-1881), who spent many years in city government.
