Variant namesThe Coorparoo Day and Night Pharmacy was formed in 1960 when chemists from Carina, Camp Hill, and Coorparoo formed a partnership to provide a professional after hours pharmacy service to their customers. The idea to open a single after hours pharmacy originated when local chemists, Guy Clarke, Rae Strain, Ernie Cairns, and Ron Nance paid a deposit for the purchase of shop premises at 332 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo, to relieve these chemists from the burden of opening all their pharmacies at night.
