Robert Henderson was a merchant of Philadelphia and American partner of the firm of [William] Gardner & Henderson of Glasgow, Scotland, trading as Robert Henderson & Company in Philadelphia. Henderson imported soft goods, acted as commissionmerchant in indigo, rice, and tobacco and as a factor for Pennsylvania and New jersey grains.
