Judith Sutcliffe, artist, tile painter, private printer, dollmaker, and type designer, started her career in Audubon, Iowa, where she started her own business in 1968. In conjunction with Lorraine Larsen, she created dolls for the animated film Raggedy Ann and Andy. In 1978, Sutcliffe moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., and began concentrating on tile murals, private printing, and type design. Her tile designs can be seen in several public locations around Santa Barbara.
