Houck, John L.
Houck was born on August 14, 1829 in Clarksville, Albany County, N.Y. He was a farmer in Clarksville. In September 1862 he enlisted as a musician in the New York State Volunteers. He served in the 44th and the 140th regiments and was mustered out of the service on June 3, 1865.
