Haisten, Arthur L.

Arthur Lee Haisten is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from the College of Charleston in 1943 then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1947 from Emory University School of Dentistry. He later received a certificate in Periodontics in 1956 from Ohio State University. He also served in the Air Force Dental Corps for two years. In 1965 Dr. Haisten received his Master's degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina School of Health. He served as President of the Charleston and Coastal District Dental Societies. Dr. Haisten also served as the dean of the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina from 1975 to 1988.
