Raad, Virginia, 1925-
Variant namesPianist and educator Virginia Raad was born in Salem, W. Va., in 1925 and educated at Wellesley College (B.A., 1947), the New England Conservatory of Music, the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, and the University of Paris, where she received a doctorate in musicology in 1955. An expert on the works of Claude Debussy, Raad has taught and lectured at many colleges and institutions.
