Harvey C. Munsill took over his father's farm in Bristol, Vermont and became a prominent figure in the economic development and civil affairs of the town. Munsill served as town treasurer, deputy sherriff, justice of the peace, grand juror, and moderator at several town meetings. His primary employment was as an agent for the Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, but he was also a real estate developer.
