Emlen, James, 1760-1798
Member of a party of four individuals representing the Society of Friends of Philadelphia who were invited to be present during treaty proceedings between the Six Nations (Iroquois Confederacy) and the United States government in the Autumn of 1794. The other members the Quaker party were David Bacon, John Parrish, and William Savery.
