A graduate of Yale, Elijah Rockwell Frink taught Chemistry, Geology, Latin and Modern History at Davidson College from 1850 to 1868. He was also principal of the Statesville Female Seminary and pastor of Fifth Creek, Bethany, and Tabor Churches. He wrote numerous articles for the North Carolina Presbyterian and was featured in an article in the May 27, 1897 issue.
