Peel River Land and Mineral Company. Australia Office.
The Peel River Land and Mineral Co. Ltd. was formed in 1853 to mine gold on the Peel River estate, a block of land granted to the Australian Agricultural Company. Stock-raising eventually replaced mining, and three towns (Tamworth, Nundle and Goonoo Goonoo) were established on the estate.
