Reverend George B. Kinkead of New York, compiler, one of the many descendants of John Crooke, merchant of New York City and his wife Geertruyd de Haes who were married on July 27, 1679 and had ten children.

George Kinkead was the son of William Bury Kinkead, also a Lexington attorney. George graduated from Princeton University in 1870. After further study in his father's law office, Kinkead was admitted to the bar in 1872. He practiced law to the time of his death in 1940.
