Born in Minneapolis, son of Putnam Frost Spaulding (d. 1911). In 1911, he took over managing his father's division, of the March-Spaulding Farm, known as the East Farm, and the grain elevator in Warren, Minn. He was later employed by a division of F.H. Peavey Company as an auditor. Retired in 1953.
