Pickens, Anna Gwin
Anna Gwin Pickens was born on August 23, 1901 in Mississippi.
Pickens entered the University of Chicago in 1919, graduating in 1923 with a Ph.B. As an undergraduate she was active in several campus organizations including: Esoteric, Nu Pi Sigma, Dramatic Club, Portfolio, and the Y.W.C.A.
Pickens received an A.M in history from the University of Chicago in 1948. Her A.M. thesis was titled, "The Murray Colonies of Bolivia."
