Wood, Harold Bacon, 1878-1958
Harold Bacon Wood was born in Camden, New Jersey and received his education from Westtown School and the Drexel Institute before graduating from the Medical Department of the University of Pennsylvania (M.D.) in 1901. He interned at Episcopal Hospital, Chester Hospital, and Howard Hospital. He accompanied Gate's Tour to Mexico as physician in 1902 and served as a inspector for the Department of Health. He returned to the University in the position of Assistant Demonstrator of Normal Histology, 1905-1910.
