Charles William Gordon Collection.
Apparently the nephew of Charles William Gordon (1860-1937) who wrote under the pen name of Ralph Connor. The collection includes a picture of the "Varsity Quintette" (1883) of which the author was a member. All five members went on to study at Glasgow University.
