Riehle, David J.

David Riehle is an engineer with the Union Pacific Railroad in St. Paul, Minnesota and is local chairman of Local 650 of the United Transportation Union, which represents train employees of the Union Pacific Railroad. Riehle is a noted labor activist and historian who played a leading role in the P-9 Support Committee for the Hormel strikers in Austin, Minnesota during the 1980s and helped organize anniversaries of the 1934 Minneapolis Truck Drivers' strike in 1994 and 2004. He has given numerous talks and tours on local labor history and also has contributed articles to local labor newspapers such as the St. Paul Union Advocate, Labor Standard, and Labor Advocate Online.
