Hargraves, J. Archie.
Reverend J. Archie Hargraves was pastor of the South Shore Community Church at 7402 South Yates Boulevard (ca. 1971-2002). Hargraves co-founded the East Harlem Protestant Parish in New York, founded the West Side Christian Parish and the West Side Organization in Chicago (Ill.), and was active in the Chicago Freedom Movement. He died on January 3, 2003 at the age of 86.
