In January of 1960 the ALC Home Mission Board called Rev. Eldon H. Lyso to establish a church in Pasco. The property was purchased in May of that year and Rev. Lyso arrived and began work in June. Sunday School classes began and the first worship service was held August 21. The formal organization took place December 18, 1960 with 131 baptized members. Formal dedication of the church followed on May 21, 1961. In 1967, an educational wing was added to the church and an addition to the parsonage.
