University of Michigan. Dept. of Family Medicine.
The University of Michigan Department of Family Medicine was founded in 1978 as the Department of Family Practice and changed to the current name in 1997. The department trains residents and operates family practice centers. Terence C. Davies was the first director, followed by Thomas L. Schwenk.
