Harvard University. Horticultural Society of the Theological School.
Formed in 1830, the Society's aim was to govern a community garden on the plot of land associated with the Divinity School. The ground was subdivided and small plots were cultivated by members. Membership was open to Divinity School students and to residents of Divinity Hall.
