Lumsden, Charles L., 1834-1867.
Charles L. Lumsden was originally from Petersburg, Va., attended the Virginia Military Institute, and then became a teacher at the Alabama Military Institute in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
During the Civil War Lumsden became the Confederate captain of "Lumsden's Battery". The company was recruited at Tuscaloosa and saw action at Perryville, Ky., Chickamauga, Tenn., Dalton, Ga., Atlanta, Ga., and Nashville, Tenn.
