Allison, Archibald, 1855-1926.
Born in Scotland, ca.1855. Traveled to Sarawak, Malaysia in 1882 where he worked for the Central Borneo Mining Company. Allison was sued for defamation as a result of pamphlets he wrote about mining conditions and company corruption (1898). Came to the U.S. ca. 1903-1904. Moved to Colo. and worked in the Robinson Mine in Walsenberg. Active in the United Mine Workers. Died in Walsenburg, October 28, 1926.
