Barrell, George Guelphs, 1780-1838
Variant namesGeorge Guelphs Barrell was born on November 24, 1780, and lived in Massachusetts. Little is known of his professional career, but he traveled to Spain in 1806 and, in 1817, James Monroe appointed him United States consul to Malaga, Spain. Barrel died in Barcelona on November 12, 1838.
