French, Robert, 1749-1811

Robert French was a Quaker from southern New Jersey. He was born the 21st of the 5th month, 1749, to Robert French and Hannah Cattle. In 1785, French married Hannah Warrington, daughter of Thomas Warrington, and the couple had one daughter named Mary born in 1786. Hannah died the same year Mary was born. In 1803, French remarried to Elizabeth Stokes. He was a member of Chester Monthly Meeting and Evesham Monthly Meeting, and served as an Elder. French died on the 10th of the 2nd month of 1811, in his 62nd year.
