National Lutheran Council. Division of Public Relations. News Bureau.
The Lutheran Bureau was formed in 1917 under the direction of O.H. Pannoke. In 1919, it came under the auspices of the newly formed National Lutheran Council where it served to gather and disseminate NLC and Lutheran church related news through news releases to Lutheran and secular papers. The Lutheran Bureau was later referred to as the NLC News Bureau.
