Family of Concord, Mass., descended from Samuel Clark, who came to Concord before 1686. Benjamin Clark (b. 1748) was the son of Benjamin (son of Benjamin, son of Benjamin, son of Samuel the original Clark settler in Concord), who married Rebekah Flegg (Rebecca Flagg) of Concord in 1743. The numerous children of Benjamin Clark (son of Benjamin and Rebecca Flagg Clark) and his wife Sarah included John Brooks Clark (1775-1865), Joseph (1786-1869), and Benjamin (b. 1780). Joseph Clark married Lucinda Davis of Concord in 1816. Their son Cyrus was born in Concord in 1827, died in 1923.
