John Calhoun Sheppard; Mason; elected Grand Master of Masons of S.C., 1899, and reelected 1900; trustee (beginning in 1902 until at least 1908) at the Connie Maxwell Orphanage operated by the Baptist Church in Greenwood, S.C.; 1865 graduate of The Citadel; son of James and Louisa Sheppard.
