Clapp, Mattie Ramsey, fl. 1873-1903.
Clapp lived in Clark and Scott Counties, Ind. She began teaching in 1873. By 1878 she was married to G.A. Ramsey, who died or disappeared around 1879. By 1884 she met J. Valentine Clapp, and married him by 1888. In 1892 she was still teaching school.
