Ripley, Joseph Marion
Variant namesJoseph P. Ripley graduated from Cornell in 1912. As a student, he was a member of Aleph Samach (Junior honor society), Sphinx Head (Senior honor society), Gemel Kharm (a social club), and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He won the Sibley Prize in mechanical engineering, was elected to Tau Beta Pi (Engineering honor society) and was the manager of the Crew team. Additionally, he was on the Freshman Banquet Committee, the Sophomore Cotillion, the Junior Prom, the Spring Play, the Crew Celebration, and the Student Conference Committee. He married Florence G. Albro. He served as a member of Cornell's Board of Trustees.
