Spokane Area Development Council, an offshoot of the Spokane Chamber of Commerce, was incorporated in May of 1974 with Omar Lofgren as its first president. Its purpose is to create new employment opportunities by attracting new business and industry to the Spokane, Washington area and to assist local business and industry to achieve recognition and growth.
