The Masterson family lived in Barnesville, Minnesota, from 1905-1928. Edward J. Masterson, the head of the family, was an Internal Revenue Service agent. His wife, Florence Dalton Masterson was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1869. Two of their sons, Kenneth and Maurice, were twins, and both served in World War I. Maurice Masterson was killed in France just ten days before the war ended. Edward and Florence Masterson moved to Moorhead in 1928, and lived there until their respective deaths.
