Hamberg, Jill

Carol Glassman and Jill Hamberg were community activists in Newark in the mid-1960s as members of the Newark Community Union Project, an initiative that grew out of the Students for a Democratic Society's (SDS) Economic Research and Action Project (ERAP).

Jill Hamberg was a member of the Students for a Democratic Society in Boston, MA who later became prominent in the Newark Community Union Project, a community organizing effort that was one of SDS's various Economic research and Action Projects.
