Hannah C. Scott (May 27, 1827-1903) was a graduate of Mount Holyoke Seminary, Class of 1843. She taught at the Seminary 1848-1849. Sometime after 1849 (though one source says 1848) she went to teach at the Waukegan Academy, Waukegan, Ill. She married Francis E. Clarke on Jan. 16, 1868 (another source says 1858); Clarke (b. Mar. 4, 1829, Williamstown, Vt.; d. 1899; graduate of Dartmouth College, Class of 1851) was a prominent Waukegan lawyer and county judge of Lake County Illinois (1875-1894).
