Stanislav Rembski (1896-1998), portrait painter, was born in Poland and moved to New York City in the 1920s, settling in Brooklyn Heights. Rembski moved to Baltimore in 1940 and divided his time between that city and a studio on Deer Isle, Maine, until his death. Among his more important works are portraits of Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.
