Bluestone, Max

Max Bluestone (Ph. D. Harvard University, 1959), became an Associate Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1965 as a member of the University's founding faculty. Through his committee work, Bluestone was directly involved in policy decisions that concerned not only the English department but also the University as a whole. A Shakespeare scholar, he was also an active writer, editor, and composition teacher.
