Founded 1924, reorganized as the Kansas Chamber of Commerce in 1925, took the name Kansas State Chamber of Commerce in 1938. In 1972 it became known as the Kansas Association of Commerce and Industry. Its purpose is to promote & attract business & industry in Kansas, to limit government intervention in private enterprise, and to educate businessmen in economic & business practices. Headquarters in Kansas City, 1925-27; Topeka, 1927-present.
