Lucy Barton, daughter of the minor English Quaker poet Bernard Barton. She was co-author with her father of the poems in The Reliquary (1836), and wrote several books on Christian themes throughout her life, including: Bible letters for children, The Natural history of the holy land and other places mentioned in the Bible, The oratory; or, The testimony of Scripture on the subject of prayer, and The Gospel history of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
