Bertrand F. Harrison born in Springville, Utah, on 20 February 1908. He was a professor at Brigham Young University in the Biological and Agricultural Sciences Department in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1961 he was made department chair. He died in Provo, Utah, on 3 September 2002.

Raymond Bartlett Farnsworth (1915-1987) was a professor at BYU.

Raymond Bartlett Farnsworth was born 21 May 1915 in Enterprise, Washington, Utah, to Bartlett Canfield Farnsworth and Lillie Parthenia Holt. He received his bachelor's from BYU, master's degree in soil microbiology from Massachusetts State College, and Ph.D. in soil physics from Ohio State. He then accepted a position as a professor at BYU. He married his wife Maurine on 31 December 1943 in San Diego, California. Raymond died 31 October 1987 in Provo, Utah, Utah.
