Rita B. Eisenberg was a researcher on infant auditory development. Eisenberg worked in professional capacities as an audiologist and a developmental psychologist. Eisenberg received her Sc.D in 1958.
In 1976 Eisenberg entered the bioacoustic laboratory at St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster, PA. In 1981, she was at work in the biomedical engineering laboratory of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University.
Eisenberg's publications include Auditory competence in early life: The roots of communication behavior . Eisenberg also wrote an editorial for the journal Developmental Psychobiology, entitled "Human hearing: Development's undeveloped territory."
