Merrick, Augustus, 1810-
Variant namesSon of Concord, Mass., storekeeper Tilly Merrick; brother-in-law of Concord lawyer Nathan Brooks. Described in 1848 insolvency document as "Augustus Merrick of Concord ... Pocket-Book manufacturer." Papers include much correspondence addressed to Merrick in Boston. Nathan Brooks was involved in the payment of Merrick's debts.
