Meyers, Harry E. (Harry Eugene), 1914-

Born in Chicago, Meyers was a resident of Indianapolis. During World War II he served with the Navy in the Pacific Theater on the U.S.S. Cleveland and the U.S.S. Teton. As a communications officer, he sent the dispatch notifying U.S. Armed Forces that the Japanese surrender had been signed. Meyers returned to Indianapolis, where he worked in the automobile trade and as a banker.
