Founded in 1979 and located in Washington, D.C., the Office of Government Affairs is responsible for keeping Princeton's administration apprised of legislative issues that may affect the University community. Areas to which the OGA gives special attention include student aid, research funding, tax policy, and immigration policy. In conjunction with other colleges and associations, the OGA hosts meetings and events with representatives and University groups to maintain open channels of communication between Princeton and legislators in the capitol.
