Harold Barefoot Sanders (b. 1925) was U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas from 1961 to 1965; Assistant Deputy Attorney General of the U.S. from 1965 to 1966; and Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division at the Department of Justice from 1966 to 1967. He was also Legislative Counsel to the President from 1967 to 1969. In 1979 he was a U.S. district judge for the Northern District of Texas, and from 1989 to 1995 he was chief judge.
