Ronald Degraw was born on December 7, 1942. Between 1965 and 1970 he was a reporter for the Philadelphia inquirer. In 1970 he was hired by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority as Director of Development for its newly-acquired Red Arrow Division of buses and trolleys serving the western suburbs. Degraw retired from SEPTA as Chief of Long-range Planning in 1996 and thereafter worked as an independent transportation consultant. He died on January 30, 2006.
