Fischer, Harvey H. (Harvey Herman), 1910-2004
Variant namesHarvey Herman Fischer (b. Aug. 16, 1910, Dunsmuir, California-d. May 2, 2004, Pineville, North Carolina), Lieutenant General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1932. During his 35-year military career, he commanded every type of organization from platoon to division, including the Southern European Task Force in Italy (World War II) and I Corps in Korea. General Fischer retired from the Army in 1967 as the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Continental Army Command.
