Temple family.
The Temples owned lands in Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire, including the famous estate of Stowe. Stowe remained in the possession of the family until the death of Richard Temple, 4th Baronet, Viscount of Cobham (1675-1749), when it passed to his sister Hester (Temple) Grenville.
