Fitzgerald, T. M. (Thomas Michael), 1918-1993
Variant namesJournalist. Publisher and editor of the Sydney-based fortnightly periodical "Nation: an independent journal of opinion". "Nation" was a liberal progressive journal which covered a wide range of topics including current affairs, literature, the arts, economics and foreign policy. Before founding "Nation" in 1958 with the assistance of George Munster, Fitzgerald had worked for the "Bulletin" and the "Sydney Morning Herald". In 1972 "Nation" merged with "Review" to form "Nation Review."
